Hi, beautiful! I'm Jenna, a passionate, sometimes sassy photographer based in Big Bear, California.

I love, love, LOVE making you feel seen, understood, loved, and valued. My goal in life is to make every human I come across feel special (because you are!). 

I've been doing this for a VERY long time, and I've learned that my biggest job at a session is not to take the pretty photos (which I do), but to help you relax and enjoy the experience. Playing with your kiddos, laughing with your person, and exploring our beautiful Big Bear set us up to have an amazing shoot.

Perfect lighting only, please!

Understanding light is a huge! How the light interacts with the background + subject, how the light shifts and changes, and how I adapt to changing light is key. Utilizing lighting techniques like Golden Hour, reflectors, and off-camera flash is essential to a strong, emotionally impactful image. I spend the past 20 years refining this skill. Now, it's just fun to play with light.

The Power of a Tickle Spider

Let's be honest, every little human can shift in and out of a good mood:) So when my little clients are having a hard moment, I don't under estimate the power of a tickle spider, a quick snuggle sesh, or a sweet treat to turn their mood around. I LOVE hanging out with tiny humans and giving them the space to play, laugh, and have a fun photo experience.

Introvert-Friendly Posing Prompts + Direction

I often hear, "My husband doesn't like his picture taken." I love helping people feel warm, welcome, and loved. When you feel truly accepted, you open up. Then I can capture the true, authentic, beautiful you.

Editing is My Superpower

Editing takes a good image and elevates it to a great one. Don't underestimate the power of a good editor. I LOOOOVVEE taking a strong image then making it soar to new heights in Photoshop. It's seriously so gratufying!

Just be Mom

Friend, I know how hard it is to be "Mom." You have to schedule all the things, plan all the plans, and you're doing all this while juggling 8 other things. I get it! But at your session, I want you to relax, play, snuggle, laugh, and be in the moment. I'll handle everything else.

Emotion is in the Details

Little moments produce huge emotion. Think of a close up of your baby's hand in yours. Being a momma of a 13 year old, I can still feel his tiny hand in mine. Just thinking about it gives me all the feels. Luckily, I have photos to help me relive those sweet moments. I can't wait to document those moments for you too!

WHAT EVERY SESSION COMES WITH

EVERY PACKAGE INCLUDES

  • Treasure box for your little humans (for ages 3-10 years old). Bribes are a great tool to get fun smiles and good attitudes. Plus it's just fun!
  • Pre-scouted locations from a long time local.
  • Golden Hour timing. I meticulously watch the light the week before your session to ensure the best start time.
  • Digital downloads. Prints are a MUST, but digitals are important too.  Share, design, and print all at your desecration.
  • Printing and storage suggestions.
  • Outfit and styling suggestions. You will have access to our outfit guide, and you're welcome to send over outfits and I'll give my advice. 
  • Guidance from your photographer best friend. We will have fun, explore, laugh, and make amazing memories!

Q & A

How long does it take to get my images back?

In our busy season, it usually take about 4 weeks to edit your photos.  During the Christmas season, we try and get your images edited and uploaded within 2 weeks.  Please let us know before you book if you need them sooner. We try to do our best:)

What should we wear?

Great question! I'll gladly send you a link to my clothing guide and Pinterest page if you'd like some inspo.  The quick answer is choose something you feel comfortable in.  The more comfortable you feel, the more natural you look on camera.

What if we want a custom package?

No problem!  We know our pre-design packages won't suite every couple, so we're happy to design a custom package for you.  Simply let us know what you're looking for and we'll email you a custom quote.

Do you offer Mini Sessions?

Sometimes we will open up mini sessions. We usually open Minis between January-April. We also have our super-fun Christmas + Cocoa Event in November.  If you're interested in Christmas + Cocoa, please sign up for our newsletter. That even usually books up in a few hours.
